Gov’t Partners Ashanti Aircraft For Home-based Carrier

adminBy adminSeptember 8, 2022

The Government of Ghana has selected Ashanti Aircrafts as an investor to partner in the nation’s bid to restore a home-based air transporter.

Two licenses, Air Transporter Permit (leg tendon) and Air Administrator Declaration (AOC), are expected by the flight area controller, the Ghana Common Aeronautics Authority (GCAA), to have the option to work as a carrier in Ghana.

Ashanti Carriers — possessed by Ghanaian business magnate and prime supporter of the Despite Group of companies, Osei Kwame Notwithstanding and his partner , Ernest Ofori Sarpong — has previously obtained an Air Transporter Permit (upper leg tendon) is liaising with the flying area controller for the last phases of its AOC process.

AviationGhana in January detailed that Ashanti Aircrafts has previously made introductions to the Council Laid out by the Minister for Transport, Kweku Ofori Asiamah, to vet all recommendations looking to partner government for the foundation of a hone-based carrier .

The Despite Group of companies ,owned by the financier of Ashanti Carriers, is quite possibly of the greatest media companies in Ghana and furthermore claims various non-media related companies in the finance and food and drink area.

Ghana has been without a public carrier since the breakdown of Ghana International Aircrafts in 2010, following the downfall of Ghana Aviation routes in 2004. Endeavors to lay out another locally established transporter has prompted the marking of MoUs with Ethiopian Carriers and EgyptAir individually with no unmistakable result.

This prompted the establishment of another Board to vet all proposition, after the recent Service of Avionics was subsumed into the Service of Transport.
