adminBy adminMarch 11, 2025

By Alex Ababio

The government has set aside GH¢100 million to fund the monthly allowances of Assembly Members across the country, Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has announced.

Presenting the 2025 budget in Parliament on Tuesday, March 11, Dr. Forson emphasized that the allocation aims to strengthen local governance and enhance the effectiveness of Assembly Members in their duties.

He underscored the vital role these officials play in grassroots development, stating that their contributions are crucial to the nation’s progress.

“The allowance will serve as an incentive to boost their dedication and service to their respective communities,” he said.

Dr. Forson reaffirmed the government’s commitment to recognizing and supporting Assembly Members, ensuring they are well-equipped to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
