China Constructs World's Largest Military Command Center 10 Times the Size of the Pentagon

China is preparing for war as it builds an entire city for military purposes, says a Ghanaian student in China who declined to disclose his identity for security reasons.

According to him, about 30 kilometers southwest of Beijing, a massive military complex is under construction.

“They’re calling it the Beijing Military City,” he disclosed.

The 33-year-old former prison officer, now a student in China, emphasized that construction is already underway, and as with many Chinese projects, the scale is extraordinary. The facility spans approximately 15 acres and is reportedly ten times larger than the Pentagon.

“The Pentagon, as you would know, is the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense — effectively the American defense ministry,” he explained.

He noted that the Pentagon is said to be larger than 100 American football fields, adding, “Beijing’s military city will be ten times bigger than that, so you can imagine the scale.”

The student claimed this is set to become the world’s largest military command center, complete with hardened bunkers and deep underground tunnels.

“Heavily reinforced concrete is being used for construction,” he said, adding that the facility is designed to survive even a nuclear attack. “They’re making sure it can withstand strikes from powerful American weapons, like the famous bunker-buster munitions.”

He revealed that the facility would be fully equipped to meet all the needs of the Chinese military and its Commander-in-Chief, Xi Jinping.

“China’s Commander-in-Chief Xi Jinping could practically run a war from there,” he stated.

Military observers reportedly agree with this assessment, describing the facility as China’s future wartime command center.

It is expected to replace the existing Western Hills complex, a Cold War-era facility that serves as China’s current wartime headquarters.

“Why does China want a bigger complex now? Because it wants to be seen as a major military power. It wants an office that fits the description,” he explained.

Construction reportedly began last year, with about 100 cranes working on the site.

“There are warning signs around it,” some foreigners in China told our reporter Isaac Nsiah Foster via email. “Photographs are not allowed, and drones cannot fly near the site. Access to the area has been completely blocked, with checkpoints installed to restrict movement.”

Previously a popular hiking area, the routes have now been shut down, they added.

Despite China’s efforts to hide the project, it has become public knowledge due to its sheer size and scale.

“This project reflects China’s military ambitions,” sources confirmed. “Beijing wants to challenge America’s military might.”

China already has the world’s largest military, with over two million active troops and the largest naval fleet. It is also closing the gap in the air with new sixth-generation fighter jets and expanding its nuclear arsenal.

Beijing is reportedly building more nuclear weapons, which the U.S. sees as a growing threat. The U.S. predicts that China will have 1,500 warheads by 2035, matching the American stockpile.

“This new facility is part of those military upgrades,” the student asserted. “It will serve as a centralized hub with advanced command and control systems, allowing coordinated military operations across different branches of the PLA and theater commands.”

Most importantly, the facility is designed to protect China’s leadership in the event of a nuclear attack.

“Nothing comes close to the size and scale of the Beijing Military City,” he emphasized. “It is large enough to protect the entire command and control structure of the Chinese state.”

The rivalry between China and the United States appears to be the driving force behind this project, but India should not ignore it either.

India shares a disputed border with China, which witnessed a military clash just five years ago.

“India must take note of China’s buildup and plan aggressive military upgrades,” the report concluded. “Perhaps their upcoming budget will address this urgent need.”
