AFCON 2023 Qualifier: Ghana Drawn In Group E Alongside Madagascar, Angola And The Central African Republic

AFCON 2023 Qualifier: Ghana Drawn In Group E Alongside Madagascar, Angola And The Central African Republic.

The Black Stars of Ghana have been drawn in Group E alongside Madagascar, Angola and the Central African Republic.

The four times Africa champions completed top of Group C in the last qualifiers subsequent to accumulating 12 points and were joined by Sudan for AFCON 2021.

Ghana will expect to set things right after a abysmal performance in Nations Cup in Cameroon this year, however should wrap top of runners up in Group E.

The Black Stars are pursuing a fifth elusive AFCON title, having arrived at the finals three times starting around 1982, losing to Ivory Coast two times in 1992 and 2015 and in 2010 to Egypt.

Meanwhile , Champions Senegal have been given a fascinating group after they were drawn in Group L with Benin, Mozambique and Rwanda in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

2021 finalist and seven times champions Egypt were fixed in Group D with Guinea, Malawi and Ethiopia while five times champions Cameroon were given Kenya, Namibia and Burundi in Group C.

Ghana’s opponents Nigeria were drawn in Group alongside Sierra Leone, Guinea Bissau the champ of the game between Sao Tome and Maritius.
