CCTV Technician Imprisoned 10-years For Publishing Lady’s Naked Videos

A CCTV Camera Technician, Prince Sevor, who distributed ŋʋde recordings of a business woman on a website, has been condemned to 10 years improvement by an Accra Circuit Court.

Sevor has been arranged to pay GH₵10,000 as a compensation to the woman for the psychological trauma caused her.

The. presiding court ooooojudge Mrs Christina Cann, sentencing him considered him to be blameworthy on charges of non-consensual sharing of personal recordings and four counts of sexual coercion.

Throughout their friendship, Sevor baited the complainant to send her ŋʋde recordings, and the complainant obliged after realizing that Sevor was female.

Prosecution said Sevor ladditionally covertly screen-recorded the complainant during one of their WhatsApp video calls while she was completely naked

It said when he got hold of the naked recordings, he utilized an alternate WhatsApp video to visit with the complainant and he presented himself as one John Mawuenyaga.

The prosecutor told the court that Sevor let the complainant know that he hacked her WhatsApp video to get her naked videos .

The Prosecutor further stated that Sevor then sent the ŋʋde videos to the complainant and requested that she paid him GHC5,000, else he would distribute the recordings on social pmedia.

The complainant begged the convict and paid GH₵2,000 in two tranches of GH₵750 and GH₵1,250 on May 17 and 18, 2021, separately.

The complainant, subsequent to paying the GH₵2,000, blocked the number of the accused so he was unable to contact her to gather the GH₵3,000 balance.

Sevor then felt free to distribute the complainant’s video on adult site.

The Prosecutor noted that he sent the recordings to two witness in the case and lrequested that they informed the complainant to bring the GH₵3,000.

On June 10, 2021, Prosecution said the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service was petitioned

On August 10, 2021, Sevor was arrested at Akatsi when he collected another GH₵500 from the complaint
