Akuapem Poloo sentenced to  imprisonment for appearing naked before son

An actress Rosemond Brown prominently known as Akuapem Poloo has been jailed for three months by a Circuit Court in Accra.

Akuapem Poloo was on Wednesday sentenced on her own plea by the Circuit Court in Accra subsequent to conceding to three charges.

She was accused of distribution of bare pictures with her seven-year-old child which she argued not blameworthy when she was first summoned but rather changed her supplication on Wednesday.

The court managed by Her Honor Christina Cann conceded her sentencing to today , April 16, 2021 for her to go through a pregnancy test to guarantee she was not pregnant before her sentencing is passed.

The pregnancy test requested by the court is a necessity by law to guarantee that, before a lady who conceded in court is sentenced , the court should know her status.

She was in this way remanded into custody for the indictment to take her to any Government medical clinic to lead the preganacy test and produce the outcomes today.

The blunt entertainer is dealing with three indictments of distribution of revolting materials, participating in domestic violence behavior at home, a conduct that in any capacity subverts someone else’s protection or honesty and participating in abusive behavior at home to be specific lead that in any capacity reduces or is probably going to diminish someone else’s pride and worth as a person.

Rosemond who had shown her stripped picture with her child via web-based media on June 30, 2020 argued not liable to every one of the charges.

Brief realities

Brief realities of the case introduced to the court by the prosecution led by Chief Inspector Agartha Asantewaa were that the complainant is Bright K. Appiah, the Director of Child Rights International Ghana.

As indicated by the arraignment, on June 30, 2020, the denounced individual celebrated her child’s seventh birthday and she took her naked pictures along with her child who was additionally half stripped and posted same on her Instagram page which became famous online via web-based media.

She told the court that, the photos pulled in remarks, adding that the conduct of the charged individual was probably going to take away from the poise of her seven year old child among others.

Insp. Agartha told the court that the complainant appealed to the Director-General Criminal Investigations Directorate and the matter was alluded to the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit.

Akuapem Poloo, she said was arrested and in her alert assertion, conceded posting the bare picture with her child unexpectedly.

Yet, arraignment held that Rosemond had purposely posted the bare picture along with her child.
