AM Trust Extends Support to Police

AM Trust Company Limited, a leading Ghanaian dealer in heavy equipment, construction machinery, and vehicles, has donated a brand-new pickup truck valued at GH₵300,000 to the Ashanti South Regional Police Command.

The brief handing-over ceremony took place on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Police Regional Headquarters in Bekwai.

A Gesture of Corporate Social Responsibility

Speaking at the event, the General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of AM Trust, Mr. Enoch Osei Tutu, explained that the donation formed part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

“The management saw the need to provide such a gesture to the police service to help reduce crime in the region,” Mr. Osei Tutu stated.

He noted that the company’s operations sometimes extend into the night, making security a crucial factor. He praised the police for their recent successful operations against notorious criminals, which included the seizure of weapons and arrests of dangerous offenders.

“Without police protection and safety, our operations could be affected. Clearly, the police are doing their best, and we must support them,” he added.

Police Commander Expresses Gratitude

The Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, ACP Joseph Nyaadd, who received the keys to the pickup, expressed deep appreciation for the donation.

“With this pickup donated to us, you can now sleep well without any cause of alarm as far as your security is concerned,” ACP Nyaadd assured.

He emphasized that the vehicle would significantly enhance police mobility in fighting crime across the region.

Call for More Private Sector Support

ACP Nyaadd also appealed to other private institutions to emulate AM Trust’s example by supporting the police in various ways.

“This is a timely intervention, and I encourage other companies to partner with us in safeguarding the lives and property of Ghanaians,” he stressed.
