From Ministry to Eternity: Remembering Apostle Ntumy, Who Dies at 65

adminBy adminDecember 27, 2023

Apostle Michael Kwabena Ntumy, the former chairman of The Church of Pentecost, has passed away, according to sources within the Christian community.

The fourth chairman of the global Pentecostal church, headquartered in Ghana, died on Wednesday, as reported by Newstitbits.

Apostle Ntumy embarked on his full-time ministry at the age of 26 with The Church of Pentecost. He assumed the role of an Apostle at 33 and, six years later, became the fourth chairman of the church. After serving two terms totaling 10 years, he handed over leadership to Apostle Professor Opoku Onyinah.

Throughout his tenure, Apostle Ntumy faced numerous challenges, including being held hostage during the Liberian Civil War in the 1990s. He survived attacks on his life, ranging from physical assaults to poisoning and paralysis, resulting in his use of a wheelchair.

Recognized as a prolific writer, Apostle Ntumy authored several books and served as the Director of Literary Works for The Church of Pentecost.

He officially retired from active ministry late this year, concluding his 39-year journey in the ministry. A retirement service for him and his family took place on September 24, 2023, in Hamburg, Germany.
