Ashanti Regional NPP Executive Elections : Hon Simon Osei Mensah Assures Maximum Security

The Ashanti Regional Minister Mr Simon Osei Mensah who is the chairman of NPP regional election Committee has given assurance for peaceful regional NPP executives elections on Friday 27 May 2022.

He said to ensure the election is conducted in such a peaceful manner the party’s elections committee have taken into consideration a number of security measures including choosing the residency at the regional coordinating council as the venue for the elections.

Mr Simon Osei Mensah made this statement when he spoke to a section of the media after a short meeting with the regional NPP executives aspirants and their agents to discuss the modalities around the elections.

He noted that the committee would be firm and Fair to ensure transparent elections .

The Dean of Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) in the Ashanti Region and the member of the NPP Election Committee, Mr Alexander Frimpong assured the aspirants free, fair and transparent elections:
He urged the aspirants to continue to engage the committee to get any clarification regarding the election,but not resort to any disturbances in attempting to seek redress .

Earlier Some of the prospective aspirants vying for various regional executive positions spoke to the media.

A Former Member of parliament of Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region ,Hon.Kwabena Owusu Aduomi who is vying for regional NPP Chairmanship position indicated that he is unifier and has the experience to lobby for project into the region as he believes their agenda of breaking the eight would be dependent on the number of projects implemented in their stronghold

Victoria Owusu Nyarko the Ashanti regional Coordinator for School Feeding Program who is seeking to lead the NPP in the region as 2nd Vice chairman urged the delegates to consider her candidature as she has been on forefront of organising people from the grassroots , especially women to enable the party win the 2016 and 2020 elections .

Mr Paul Kwabena Yandoh who is also contesting for Assistant Ashanti regional Secretary said there was the need to document the party’s activities to properly inform them to take good decisions. He said he has the capability to keep proper records of the party in the region and also keep every important details to help the party have data that would guide their programs and activities.
