Meet Matilda Assabil , The 10-Year-Old Ghanaian Sensational Set To Be The World’s Youngest player

The Ghanaian football sensational  Matilda Assabil has divided opinion following speculations that she could be the youngest footballer to play at the professional level, having made her introduction at age 10.

Assabil featured in the Ghana Women’s Division One League at the end of the week, showing up for Starlet Ladies in Ghana’s lower level to the shock of fans in the nation and across Africa.

In spite of the fact that there are still questions whether the Ghanaian league is professional or novice, Assabil could be the most youthful female footballer to play for a senior side subsequent to beating the record held by American Olivia Moultrie. who made her authority debut for Portland Thorns against Racing Louisville matured 15.

Assabil’s achievement has drawn blended responses from fans via social media .

This is child labour ,” said Nana Kwesi Asare, with Jabah M Johnson concurring with him. “It’s true . Assuming a Cocoa farmer sends his 10-year-old young lady to the farm , they will say child labour .”

A few fans feel there are a greater number of such capable youths in Ghana if by some stroke of good luck they can be explored early.

“We have a greater number of her type in the country. Scouts should search for them and put them into training ,” said Harry Lot Tetteh.

A segment of fans are quick to see Assabil play past Ghana where she can understand her actual potential.

“They better deal with her, compensate her fairly and grant her the opportunity to be in another team abroad likewise,” Bertha Kardash noted
