Ashanti Regional Forestry Commission Rewards Its  District Manger As It Exceeds 4 Million Target In Green Ghana Project

The Ashanti regional Manager for Forestry Commission, Mr Augustine Gyedu has disclosed that his outfit was able to distribute and plant six million four hundred and fifty thousand seedlings as part of Green Ghana tree planting exercise.

He said they exceeded their target by four million seedlings, and thus attributed their success to unflinching support of his abled district mangers

Mr Augustine Gyedu disclosed this at a press briefing to reward the Nkawie district manager of the Foresty Commission in the tree planting exercise during the Green Ghana Day .

He mentioned the Nkawie District manager for Forestry Commission , Mr Chrisantus Nifaasoyir as the overall winner who was able to distribute and plant over one million seedlings, exceeding his target of five hundred thousand seedlings.

Presenting a 42 inch LC Samsung Television to Mr Chrisantus Nafaasoyir at the premises of Ashanti regional office of Forestry Commission at Adum in Kumasi ,Mr Augustine Gyedu noted :

” Mr Chrisantus Nafaasoyir stood tall among his colleagues and that we are here today to congratulate and reward him to serve as motivation to others .

He said : I”m hopeful next year by this time those who will stand tall will also be rewarded.”

Receiving his prize as the winner with exceptional performance,. Mr Chrisantus Nifaasoyir ,thanked the regional management team led by ,Mr Augustine Gyedu for recognizing their contributions to the success of Green Ghana and accordingly rewarding them .
He further attributed his achievement to immense contributions of his working staff at Nkawie district and the advice he utilised, especially from his colleague district mangers.

Mr Chrisantus Nafaasoyir noted that he and his team used the farmers in the district, especially the cocoa farmers to plant a greater number of the seedlings with the support of the Youth in Afforestation attached to his office .
