T.I. Amass Beats OKESS, Islamic, OWASS Others In Ashanti Cross-Country Race

The Asokwa based school T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School in Kumasi won the cross-country contest in both Boys and Girls competition as school sports in Ashanti Region bouncedback to life.

OKESS on the otherhand picked the second spot, Kumasi High School was placed third while Effisco faught for fourth position in the Boys Division. Aduman picked the fifth Spot while Opoku Ware School was put on the sixth position.

T. I. Amass , Kumasi picked the first spot again in the girls category while the Islamic SHS picking the second spot. Aduman SHS picked the third spot, St Louis SHS picked the fourth position. OKESS picked fifth situation with Afia Kobi Girls picking sixth spot.

From the eleventh of June, 2022 to the fifth of August, inter- school sports competition Bounces once more into existence with the Calandar of activities presently supported for a take off following the endorsement of a letter by the Ashanti Regional Director of Education

Ashanti region is the center point of school sports and with many individuals yearning to have their number one school sports return to life, everything is set now for a smooth take off of various events planned for the year. Inter school crosscountry will take place on the eleventh of June with many schools prepared to exhibit their ability. Volleyball, handball, b-ball, table tennis and handball will return on fourteenth to the seventeenth of June. 23rd to 29th June will be committed for Girls Soccer

The Group phases of the Boys Soccer will be held simultaneously while the main soccer competition at the Kumasi sports stadium will start off from fourth to eighth July. Inter school Athletics competition Zonal level contest will be held in fourteenth to 29th July with the very Zonal competition scheduled for fourth to fifth August.

The invigorating news comes following two years of lethargy due to the emergence of Covid-19. A good number of gifted students didn’t get the chance to contend over the most recent two years thus this will be a great news to many school sports lovers.
