Catholic Bishop Of Wa Diocese Elevated To Cardinal Position

The Catholic Bishop of the Wa Diocese, Most Rev. Richard Kuuia Baawobr, has been selected a cardinal for the Catholic Church.

Rev. Baawobr was selected close by 21 different cardinals who are expected to assume their roles at the Vatican in August 2022.

The list was declared by Pope Francis.

Bishop Baawobr as of now fills in as the Chief Shepherd of Ghana’s Catholic Diocese of Wa.

He was brought into the world on June 21, 1959, and appointed as a cleric on July 18, 1987.

On May 7, 2016, he was appointed as a Bishop.

He is commonly known for his demonstrations of noble cause and love for simple-minded people.

Here are the names of each of the 21 new cardinals:

Diocese supervisor Arthur Roche – Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments

Diocese supervisor Lazzaro You Heung sik – Prefect of the Congregation for the Clergy

Diocese supervisor Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, L.C. – President of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State and President of the Governorate for Vatican City State

Diocese supervisor Jean-Marc Aveline – Metropolitan Archbishop of Marseille (France)

Minister Peter Okpaleke – Bishop of Ekwulobia (Nigeria)

Diocese supervisor Leonardo Ulrich Steiner, O.F.M. – Metropolitan Archbishop of Manaus (Brazil)

Ecclesiastical overseer Filipe Neri António Sebastião di Rosário Ferrão – Archbishop of Goa and Damão (India)

Diocesan Robert Walter McElroy – Bishop of San Diego (U.S.A)

Diocese supervisor Virgilio Do Carmo Da Silva, S.D.B. – Archbishop of Dili (East Timor)

Diocesan Oscar Cantoni – Bishop of Como (Italy)

Ecclesiastical overseer Anthony Poola – Archbishop di Hyderabad (India).

Diocese supervisor Paulo Cezar Costa – Metropolitan Archbishop of Brasília (Brazil)

Diocesan Richard Kuuia Baawobr, M. Africa – Bishop of Wa (Ghana)

Diocese supervisor William Goh Seng Chye – Archbishop of Singapore (Singapore)

Diocese supervisor Adalberto Martínez Flores – Metropolitan Archbishop of Asunción (Paraguay)

Diocese supervisor Giorgio Marengo, I.M.C. – Apostolic Prefect of Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia)

Diocese supervisor Jorge Enrique Jiménez Carvajal – Archbishop Emeritus of Cartagena (Colombia)
