After Ablakwa resignation Ayariga, Suhuyini , others to follow suit

adminBy adminApril 1, 2021

Executive Director of ASEPA, Mensah Thompson has hinted that Okudzeto Ablakwa won’t be the lone individual from the minority caucus to resign from the Appointments Committee of Parliament.

As indicated by him, there are different individuals from the minority side who are prepared to resign from the Committee on the grounds that their standards are not in accordance with the bigger arrangement of the committee l.

The North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, resigned Parliament’s Appointments Committee yesterday.

In a letter dated March 30, copied to the Speaker, Alban Kingsford Bagbin, he clarified that this was “following quite a while of cautious reflection and insightful contemplations.

“I will jump at the chance to express that the purposes behind this troublesome choice are both individual and on standard”, this was the lone explanation he credited to his abdication.

Responding to his renunciation, Mensah Thompson said, “Per the data I have, he was gone against various choices the Committee and the minority caucus had reached. Okudzeto was by all account not the only one in conflict to such choices, Mahama Ayariga, Alhassan Suhuyini were in conflict with them as well. I figure we shouldn’t simply expect the renunciation of Okudzeto however Mahama Ayariga and Alhassan Suhuyini may likewise leave the council. In the even that taking everything into account, with the standards they have appearing differently in relation to that of the panel, I anticipate that a lot more others should resign from the committee “.

Speaking to Don Kwabena Prah on the Epa Hoa Daben political talk program, the ASEPA supervisor noticed that it is disappointing to work with individuals who don’t have a similar standard as you.

As far as he might be concerned, the aggregate interest of the committee shifted from that of Okudzeto and a couple of others.

He trusts Okudzeto leaving the committee was not finished with regard to malignance. “I think it involves rule. You hold a guideline and you expect those you work with to likewise hold similar standards. Be that as it may, assuming they don’t’, it is astute you bow out”.
