Information reaching Ghanaian Watch indicates that Eighty-five basic and senior high schools in the Ashanti Region have recorded cases of the coronavirus virus . The Regional Health Director, Dr Emmanuel Tinkorang, hinted that 365 students and workers in the various schools have been infected whiles 254 have recovered. Dr Tinkorang stated currently, 25 schools have active cases with 111 people infected. He said the cases recorded in the schools include both the Alpha and Delta variants. Four kidnappers have been killed at Kidendilenpa a suburb of Busunu in the West Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region by a search party from the community. Five armed Fulani kidnappers succeeded in kidnapping a young Fulani girl of about five years and demanded for ransom from his parents.
