Sexual promiscuity is responsible for the 1,770 new HIV/AIDS cases,” Senior Pastor declares

By David Amoateng

The Presiding Minister at Sepaase Assemblies of God Church Lawrence Quasi Incoom has attributed the 1,770 new cases of HIV in the country to rampant sexual promiscuity and societal norms.”

According to him, these cases reflect nine percent of the country’s total HIV/AIDS cases, stemming from cultural and behavioral shifts, including provocative dressing and societal conduct.

In an interview at Sepaase, Ashanti’s Atwima Nwabiagya district, Senior Pastor Lawrence Incoom highlighted the role of social media in promoting risky behaviors like promiscuity and the sharing of nude photos. “Youths are posting nude images online to attract attention,” he pointed out, emphasizing the dangers of such actions in spreading the HIV virus.

“We must discourage indecent behaviors on social media,” Incoom urged, particularly addressing young girls who engage in online transactions involving their bodies.

He lamented the influence of Western culture, citing pornography as a corrupting force on the youth, stating firmly, “It is sinful in the eyes of God and man.”

To combat this trend, Senior Pastor Incoom stressed the importance of a mindset change towards sex, marriage, and Christian values. “We need to instill a sense of God-fearing discipline in our youth,” he concluded, advocating for a renewed approach to personal conduct and societal norms.
