By Alex Ababio

Aspart of Corporate social responsibility program for the year, the Sharp Foundation headed by the Chief Executive of Sharp Herbal Medicine Dr Stephen Nyarko a.k.a Dr Sharp, has donated an unspecified amount of money to the Pediatric Oncology and Neurology Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) Kumasi to support the unit to save lives .

The foundation also visited the Burns and Intensive Care Unit of the Emergency Block to pay the medical bills of a 23-year old student of Tamale Technical University ,who got burnt while working on a Galamsey site to raise money for his educational needs .

Whiles the Unit worked hard to save his life , he had no money to pay his medical bills.

Dr Stephen Nyarko who is the producer of IMBOST Herbal Mixture , popularly known as ‘Policenii N’duro No’ and the foundation, therefore, took the responsibility to pay all the outstanding bills, totalling GHC 11,000 for the victim.

An additional sum of money was given to the patient as token from Dr Stephen Nyarko for his personal upkeep

Speaking to Ghanaian Watch , the Public Relations Officer of Sharp Foundation, Mr Francis Maalu noted that the foundation took the decision to establish a strong relationship with Pediatric Oncology and Neurology Unit to save lives since they realised the later needed collective effort to provide quality health care to its clients.

Mr Francis Maalu further stated that the gesture was to help support needy patients who had financial challenges to settle their bills after they had received treatment from the hospital.

He took the opportunity to appeal to other corporate organizations and affluent individuals to provide their quota in assisting the management of the Hospital to run the unit .

Below are pictorial excerpts of the visit of  Sharp Foundation  and donations to the Pediatric Oncology and Neurology Unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH)
