Hopeson Adorye’s sack: President Akufo Addo  Nursing Enmities In NPP – Political Leecturer

adminBy adminNovember 29, 2022

Mr Jonathan Asante Okyere, political Science Lecturer at the Cape Coast University (UCC) in the Central region has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of nursing hatreds in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in ahead of the party’s conference to choose a flagbearer for the 2024 general elections .

A former NPP parliamentary candidate for the Kpone Katamanso Constituency in the Greater Accra region , Mr Hopeson Adorye says his appointment in this government has been ended because of his pronounced support for the Trade and Industry Minister , Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten as the next flagbearer of the NPP.

Mr Hopeson speaking on Accra-based Oman FM to noted that he wouldn’t be given up by the attacks however he will do all things needed to make Alan come to power .

Responding to the news about the sack, political lecturer Mr Asante Okyere says this is an implied confirmation that the president is supporting the bid of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

He blamed the president for making divisions and ill wills in the NPP while speaking on the mide-day news on Accra 100.5 FM .

As indicated by him, there are Ministers and deputy Ministers who have straightforwardly pronounced their support for the Vice President but nothing of such sort has been done to them.

“These people are currently at post so why sack Hopeson Adorye,” he addressed.

He noted that the president will have a huge tasks ahead of him assuming all the Alan allies in his administration choose to come out openly.

He stressed that Alan might not have the support of the establishment but rather the support of the grassroots so he (the president) ought to be careful about a portion of these activities in government.

He noted Mr Adorye’s sack is a sign the Vuce President has the endorsement of the president.
