NAIMOS has arrested 11 suspected illegal miners in the Western and Eastern Regions following coordinated operations in the Cape Three Points Forest, Abrokyire-Krobo and Apapam-Asikem. The raids exposed renewed mining activities and raised concerns about illegal mining, forest destruction, river pollution and weaknesses in Ghana’s enforcement efforts.
