Three Suspected Armed Robbers In The Grips Of Police Over killing Of Lawyer On Bole-Bamboi Highway

adminBy adminMay 30, 2022

The Savannah Regional Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers who supposedly shot and killed an Accra-based lawyer enroute to Jirapa.

The fourth suspect is presently on the run and the police are seeking after him.

The lawyer was killed by suspected armed robbers at a section of the road between Banda Nkwanta and Nuoyiri on the Bole Bamboi highway .

The armed robbers purportedly came out of the close by bush and flagged the vehicle in which the lawyer and his family members were heading out to stop.

One of the armed robbers promptly shot dead the driver of the vehicle, Richard Badombia, who is a lawyer with Lartey, Badombia and Co. Associates, situated opposite Roxy Cinema at Adabraka in Accra.

The armed robbers apparently found out if the travelers on board were police officers.

Subsequent to shooting the lawyer, they attempted to open the entryways of the vehicle as the vehicle strayed away from the street and hit a tree yet a bull dog in the vehicle yelped at them and they darted.

A report was quickly recorded at the nearest police stations, Banda Nkwanta Police Station.

Making sense of the issues further on 3FM’s Sunrise hosted by Alfred Ocansey on Monday, the Savannah Regional Police Public Affairs Director, Inspector Owusu Agyekum, said: “A few suspects were rounded up and we are as yet continuing with the investigations.

“We are as yet searching for one man however we have three individuals in our custody .”

Inspector Owusu Agyekuma added that “as a result of the of the activities there right now, we would rather not mention names”.

Making sense of why the lawyer and his family were going with a bulldog, Inspector Owusu Agyekum said: “the man resides alone so when he is venturing out to his old neighborhood where he will be out for three days, he needs to convey the bull dog along in light of the fact that there is nobody in the house to take care of the dog and not that he conveyed the dog along from security”.
